Alaska Season - Delayed Start To Cruise Season in Seattle and Glacier Bay National Park

Updated April 1, 2020

Given the unpredictable circumstances evolving from the global spread of COVID-19, and the announced port closures in Canada, Alaska and Seattle, Princess is continuing to evaluate its scheduled Alaska cruises and cruisetours and will share more information shortly.

As leaders in Alaska cruising, we continue to work closely and in partnership with local, state, federal and global agencies on travel restrictions. This dynamic situation requires adequate time to evaluate all aspects of the required decision-making including rescheduling of land operations like lodging and ground transport for cruisetours in order to ensure the optimal outcome.

We look forward to bringing guests to experience Alaska at sea, in ports and at our lodges this summer. In the interim, guests can take advantage of our Cruise with Confidence policy which allows guests to cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive the value of any cancellation fees in the form of a Future Cruise Credit.

Guests should continue to check Princess.com for itinerary updates and information on rebooking and cancellation options. Due to significant call volume, we are doing our best to manage long hold times for those with upcoming bookings and for those wishing to make a booking.

The safety and wellbeing of our guests, teammates, their families and our local communities remains our top priority. We appreciate flexibility, patience, and understanding as we do our best to navigate the global COVID-19 situation.

Princess Cruises is aware the Port of Seattle announced plans to suspend its cruise season until further notice. Princess is also aware of the decision made by the National Park Service to delay the opening of the Glacier Bay National Park through July 1, 2020.

Princess is continuing to evaluate our Alaska cruises and cruise tours scheduled and will share more information as it becomes available.

Alaska cruises associated with voyages scheduled to depart prior to May 11, 2020, have already been cancelled as part of the decision by Princess Cruises to voluntarily pause global operations of its 18 cruise ships for two months (60 days), impacting voyages departing March 12 - May 10.

Guests should continue to check Princess.com for itinerary updates and information on rebooking and cancellation options. Due to significant call volume, we are doing our best to manage long hold times for those with bookings in the next few weeks and for those wishing to make a booking.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
